Iolite Shield Earrings

These modern post earrings were designed from a client’s sketch for their own designer collection. They are a clean, architectural pair of earrings meant to feel bold without losing softness. Each earring is built around a 9mm × 7.5mm shield-shaped iolite, held in a four-prong basket setting that lets the stone catch the light. From the widest point of the shield, the metal rises and tapers in an inverted Y style shape, drawing the eye upward and giving the earring a long, contemporary line. Three prong-set melee diamonds follow that same taper, adding scintillation that narrows with the metal shape rather than sitting as a separate accent. An ear post is added after casting and finishing.
